You screamed as the portal opened and you fell onto a wooden surface. Damn it..you cursed in your head as you sat up. The  transporter on Cybertron seemed to move you to a different dimension. How were the Autobots going to- sudden screams and gasps turned your attention away from the battle you were just in. You realized you were sitting on a large circular table which almost a hundred people were sitting at. "Is that a spy?!" Someone cried out.  People started to get up and reach for you but your reflexes made you jump and scramble off the table without being touched. A week before, you wouldn't have been able to do this, but being with the Cybertronians seemed to change your fitness. Your dark blue hoodie stayed on, covering your (h/c) hair from view. Down the halls you ran, hearing feet moving behind you, but steadily the noises disappeared. You gasped for breath as you reached what seemed to be the front entrance. "You there!" A voice called out. It was from a tall guy with brilliant green eyes and enormous eyebrows. "Stop or you'll be arrested!." You laughed. There was worse waiting for you back where you needed to go. Even though your laugh wasn't at the blonde, it seemed to anger him

"Ah shit.." you mumbled, stepping outside. Rain immediately drenched your already filthy clothes. The blonde opened the door, yelling out at you. "I said bloody stop you git!" He ran towards you. Without another glance, you dashed off. You could still feel the man chasing you, your breath coming in short ragged gasps. Even though you just came from a war doesn't mean you could run a marathon. The rush of a river met you, and when you tried to clear it in a single leap, your jump was weak and fell into the water. "He..hel…" A deep breath "HELP" before slipping under the water. This time Bee wasn't there to save you. Or Prowl. Why did you have to be so helpless? You're head felt light as you were slammed against rocks bedded in the river. Huh? Th-The bank! Your hands grabbed out at roots sticking out and hauled your sorry ass out of the water, coughing hysterically. "Hello!" said a cheery voice as you curled up on the bank, still being drizzled on by rain. "What? Wh-who are you?" Your voice rasped, still getting the water out of your lungs. A light, minty aroma mingled with the smell of rain and wet clothes. "Just someone to keep you company." You could feel a warm presence settle by you, warming your chilled body. "Thank you" you murmured, closing your eyes. Mint was one of your favorite smells after all..

The man had searched along the river after you had fallen in, realizing you were in danger. Enemy or not, no one deserved to drown. He saw a faint glow down the bank were he found you, and his close friend ( which no one else could see), Flying Mint Bunny. "Wot..FMB,..wot are you doing?" He said in an exhausted breath. The little green creature smiled back warmly. "I'm just keeping her warm, Britain. Little dear nearly drowned but she sure did save herself." The man, Britain, tilted his head. "Saved herself? That current is pretty fast..no wonder she's out now." Rain steadily poured and Britain sighed, wiping drops off his large brow. She won't get better being out here, he thought, and picked you up in his arms. Flying Mint Bunny circled around you both, "Tell her I said goodbye, Britain. I have places to bee." With that, the little magical creature disappeared. Britain nodded and carried you to his car. It was the last in the lot since everyone else had gone home in fear that the 'spy' had infiltrated their homes. You were gingerly put into the passenger seat and buckled in when Britain started his car.

It was the normalcy of the car motor that woke you up. "Huh?" you mumbled. It caught the attention of the man as he continued to drive but before he could answer you spoke a little louder "Where..did that green thing go?" The man blinked in surprise at the road "You could see Flying Mint Bunny?" "Y-yeah.." you answered "It did smell like mint." You coughed, a little more water getting out of your system. The man looked over at you for a second sympathetically. "I heard you got yourself out of the river..that shows you're very brave..wot's your name anyways?" You noticed a soft British accent that rolled with the man's words. You blushed lightly, thinking how Bee would laugh at you for being so..girly. "_________" you answered. The man took a double take. "Ar-Are you a lady??" You laughed at that, confusing him even more. He shook his head "I'm sorry, excuse me for being rude..that is a lovely name. My name is Britain." You looked down at your feet, still very damp "Ah.." Where had you heard that before..

</I>

Soon the car pulled up at a large home surrounded by a dark iron-wrought fence and tall rosebushes. The rain lightened up by the time Britain led you into the house. A musty smell of old everything, like it had been there for years, greeted you when you stepped into the corridor of the huge home.

You felt oddly sticky and even a little woozy. "Can..can I get cleaned up?" You said, a little embarrassed, to Britain. He seemed to realize your discomfort and nodded "Of course," he answered "Let me go draw up a bath for you" You followed him up a flight of stairs, a slight stitch in your side. Maybe I pulled a muscle during that fight, you thought. Shockwave had sent steel spindles and balls of electricity shooting at your mid-drift before you fell into the portal. You shook your head. I'm fine, you said to yourself as you went in after Britain into a small, comforting bathroom. You watched him turn the bath on and set up a few towels for you. "I'll go find you something to wear, of course your current attire can't be used until they are cleaned again. Your bath is ready and I'll be back up in a minute." "..thank you" you said to him as he closed the door.

You felt the water with your hand. It steamed. Unzipping your jacket, you noticed a large, dark stain on the side of your shirt. A sharp pain in your side made you pick up the hem of your shirt, but as you lifted higher, you had to peal the material off a large gash that dripped slowly with blood. You gagged. So Shockwave hadn't missed..you thought. Just the sight of the wound made you twinge and tears sprang into your eyes. It was the first battle wound you ever had but it also meant that you could have died. Suddenly, a faint glow attracted your interest. Apparently the shard of the AllSpark that had been the topic of the fight had buried itself within you. Maybe that's why I didn't die, you thought. It pulsed, sending an electric shock through you, making you cry out in pain.

The door burst open and a flushed Britain with articles of clothes in his hands appeared. "Wot happene-" He looked down at you, holding your side. Blood oozed from between your fingers, the wound clearly agitated by the sudden shock. You gasped, trying not to cry. The british man rushed to your side and tenderly lifted your hands away, stifling a surprised gasp at the extent of the gash. "Hmm..let's get you into the bath and then we'll fix this up okay.." he said carefully. You nodded and stood up, wincing. A sudden blush darkened your face as you looked over at Britain. "Do you have to be in here.." He stammered "I am so sorry! I'll give you some privacy, Miss _______" Another wave of blushing made your face burn when he left the bathroom, calling back "If you need me I will be right here okay." You grunted a reply as you removed the rest of your clothes and stepped into the water. Even though your gash burned, it felt to nice to take a bath. You didn't want to be alone at the moment. "Britain?" You called out tentatively. The door opened and the country walked in, looking over at you cautiously. "Do you need anything ______?" You slouched so only your head could be seen. "Will you keep me company? Please?" You asked eagerly. His green eyes gazed back at yours and with a curt nod, the British man next to the bathtub so he could only see your face. You sighed. "Ehem." The noise startled you "Yeah?" You asked. "Are you going to explain that nasty wound of yours?" Concern laced itself into the soft British accent. "Ah..that…" You spent the next half hour talking about the Cybertronian war, confusing Britain all the while as you unraveled your story.

-----------

You took the towel Britain handed to you and wrapped it around yourself. He himself had turned away as the gentleman he is. "Here are some clothes you can wear. Not for a young lady, I regret, but they are very comfortable if I do say so myself." A large tshirt and a pair of British boxers were handed to you. A giggle slipped out when you saw the boxers. Ridiculous, you thought. But they were comfortable.

When they were both on, Britain turned back around and took your hand, leading you to the guest room. "I'm going to have to fix that wound of yours, and it might not be pretty." You sat down on the queen-sized bed and watched as Britain went out into the hall and in a few minutes returned with a tray of what looked like old time-ish doctor's equipment and a bottle of scotch. Oh no.. you thought. Alcohol was used as a painkiller in the last few centuries and those 'instruments' looked like a few you had seen in history class. The blonde haired man turned on the light on the nightstand and handed you a half-full glass of the scotch. "Down this, love. I'll warn you it does have a kick to it." You tilted it back and downed it, choking on the liquid as it burned it's way into your stomach. Britain watched you carefully. "Alright ______? Drink another." He filled it again and you downed it, this time not having quite as much trouble. The world wobbled slightly as a third, fourth, and even sixth glass was added. Britain eased you on your back, lifting your shirt to examine the wound. All you could do was giggle at the thought of such an attractive man touching you. Your mind ignored the sharp pain of small pliers removing the shards of metal from the sides, but when Britain pulled out the shard of the AllSpark, another electric shock coursed through you, snapping through the alcohol. The shock blasted Britain back against the wall. He stared dumbly at the blue glow that was held in his hand but quickly dropped it when he noticed that it had reopened the gash on your side. After that you couldn't remember much of the rest of the night. The only things that came back to you was Britain pressing a rag against your side and when he tied a knot in the suture on your side. Also something he made you drink besides the scotch. It had had a slight lemon taste to it.

When you woke up again, the sun started to set. "Damn" you mumbled, looking at a clock on the wall. 8:27. You had slept all night. And all day. You looked around to see you were still in the same room, your clothes neatly folded on a chair by the door and the things Britain had used to doctor you with were gone, replaced with a small bouquet of flowers. Wait..flowers? You blushed. What am I thinking, he is way to old for me.. You shook your head and stood up, your side aching but not burning. A faint glow caught your attention. The shard of AllSpark sat on the nightstand next to the flowers. Huh.. You thought, and grabbed a quilt that was folded on the bed and wrapped it around you and went out into the hall.

You found Britain sitting in his parlor next to a peaceful fire. The book he held had pulled him into it's covers and away from the world. When you walked in, the sound of fabric on the floor made your host look up in surprise. "_________! You've been asleep for quite awhile." "I noticed." Your voice was a little flat, and you felt that your feet were very heavy. "How are you feeling? Queasy? Headaches?" You shook your head a the questions "I feel kind of heavy..I'm not hungover though from the amount of alcohol I had the other night." A satisfied smiled occupied Britain's face. "I gave you a drink that I personally make to get rid of the hangover before you have it. A special brew, I like to call it….and I've been hungover before and I know it is very inconvenient." You sat down on the couch next to the fire in front of Britain's lounge chair, wrapping the quilt over your body and legs. Britain sat his book on the table and watched you get settled in the chair. "So, as we have time, I'd appreciate if you told me just how exactly got here. Most of the other countries believe you to be a spy but after our scare last night I've thought otherwise." You nodded "Fair enough." you said "And..thank you again. For saving me twice." He chuckled "I AM a gentleman and I just can't allow young ladies to go off and die if I don't have a say in it." You looked down, smiling. "It all started one week ago on my way to school…"
